Christopher V. Tisi graduated from the State University of New York at Albany, cum laude, in 1982 and from Wake Forest School of Law in 1986. He has specialized in all areas of personal injury litigation, including product liability law and medical malpractice. Mr. Tisi has been admitted to practice law in Federal and local courts in the District of Columbia and Maryland, The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Tisi has been in the forefront of major pharmaceutical litigation. He is a member of the Discovery and Science and Expert Committees for In Re: Drug Pharmaceutical Litigation (Fenfluramine/Dexfenfluramine/Phentermine) Product Liability Litigation, MDL 1203. He is also a member of the Discovery and Science and Expert Committees for In Re: Rezulin Product Liability Litigation, MDL 1348.
In addition, Mr. Tisi has presented numerous individuals who contracted Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) from contaminated blood transfusions. He has published an article on “Blood Bank Liability for Transfusions Associated with AIDS” in the Professional Negligence Laws Reporter. He has lectured at numerous professional conferences on issues related to pharmaceutical liability. Mr. Tisi has achieved significant verdicts and settlements in the District of Columbia.
Mr. Tisi has been active in the D.C. Bar/Trial Lawyers joint pro bono program, which provides legal representation to patients who have been denied insurance payments related to their cancer treatment.
He is also a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association, the Maryland Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
